Melinda Kemp
European beauty and model to watch, Melinda Kemp heats up for our latest photo series. The leggy, swimsuit stunner tells us what it takes to impress her.
How long have you been modeling?
I’ve been modeling since I was 16, but I have only been doing it full time for the last few years. I studied at Sydney University straight out of high school and my original plan was to eventually become a lawyer, but modeling became slightly more demanding and I decided to pursue it full time while I was still young. Turns out I’ve had a blast doing it!
What currently inspires you?
The idea of traveling the world. I’ve had so many great opportunities to see the world and get paid for it at the same time. Every time I go on a trip I feel like I come back a little wiser and tougher. There’s something really special about immersing yourself in different cultures and getting out of your little ‘bubble’.
What are your favorite things about Sydney?
Everything! Really, the lifestyle is like nowhere else in the world. The beaches, the people… It’s just home to me and even though the streets are familiar, it never gets old.
Where do you want to be in 5 years?
If someone told me 5 years ago that I’d be a full-time model today and traveling the world, I wouldn’t have believed them! I have no idea where I’ll be in 5 years but hopefully, I’ve seen lots of the world, eaten a tonne of amazing food and made quality, life-long relationships.
What do you value most in a relationship?
I think it’s important to have your best friend to be your partner in crime. Having someone to share even the dullest moments becomes exciting when you have a man who is not only the love of your life but your best friend too. Love, laughs and adventures are the perfect combination for a happy relationship!
What can women learn from men?
How to be less emotional. I cry watching certain tv commercials, so it would be amazing if I could learn how to switch off the emotions once in a while! I’ve always admired men for their logic and rational thinking in emotionally-driven situations! It’s almost like a superpower.
