Skin care doesn’t have to be confusing. Or girly for that matter. You can look after your skin, keep it fresh, supple, and healthy and maintain your masculinity. If you think about it, your skin is your largest organ, it works to help detox your body, keep you cool or warm, protect you from the elements and many many more clever and very scientific activities.

If you work out at the gym you’re going to sweat and that can clog your pores and give you black heads. If you work in the sun, or if you surf or hang out near the ocean you’re going to suffer the drying effects of wind, sun and sea. So just like you take care of your muscles, and your hair, and your organs, you need to take care of your skin.

It’s super simple. Think of the order as layering clothing in winter, start with the lightest layer first. Cleanse (that means wash), tone (that means tighten), moisturise (soften and put back what’s been sucked out by life).

Choose a regime that suits your skin, get a recommendation from a professional that can tell you if your skin is oily, dry or combination and then they can give you exactly the right combo of goops and goos to make you look your prettiest. Let’s face it, there’s nothing more appealing to a potential lover than great skin that they can touch and caress…
