Off-the-grid living in this stunning Brazilian hideaway
Located on a private island in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro Brazil, the beautiful, secluded two-story, AB Residence was designed in 2016 by Jacobsen Arquitetura. Set on the 53 thousand square meter islet, the residence was mindfully designed to create minimal impact on its natural surroundings.
According to Brazilian architects, Jacobsen Arquitetura, the transparent façades ensure the house users’ interaction with nature as well as the lightness of the impact of the construction on the landscape. The project had to suit the strict environmental standards limiting the proximity of construction to the sea, its height, maximum occupancy of the land and changes in the topography.
