Dave Rennick

Indie-rock band, Dappled Cities are one of the finest talents to come out of Australia at the moment. For RUSSH magazine’s first ever men’s special they have decided to showcase front man, Dave Rennick in their pages looking right at home in the smoothest of stylish pieces. Oliver Grand caught up with the Sydney musician behind the scenes of his shoot.

Style to me is unnatural, carefree, careful, and a reason to leave a party early.

My style icon would have to be, Walter Gropius if only he had more Instagram followers, which also rules out my Dad, so Dan Single.

The city I feel the most affinity with is Los Angeles.

Because It’s a land of cheeseballs – all of whom I can have a spirited conversation with.

At the the top of my fashion bucket list at the moment is something to replace my old pair of Alexander Wang women’s tracksuit pants (seriously these things were one of a kind and I can’t find anything like them anywhere even with the internet and everything).

Something not many people know about me is, the soles of my feet is the only place where I sweat so I’m always on the lookout for breathable footwear.

I am currently working on a new musical project called Light Pressure, with a single out next month and I’m in the throws of launching a new design agency, called Days.

Next year you can expect big 70’s rock jams, groove-based ballads about space, and Jaquo Pistorius inspired bass lines from our Dappled Cities LP.
